Gothenburg AMBLE annually arranges an international symposium on the topic: Reading, Mathematics and the Developing Brain
The purpose of the Gothenburg AMBLE symposium is to bring together scientists and teachers from education sciences, psychology and neuroscience in order to facilitate teaching, public information and policy discussions on early childhood education and to stimulate research with a focus on optimizing learning environments and educational practices that influence cognitive outcomes.
In particular, we emphasize the development of literacy and numeracy. The target group for the symposium consists of teachers, pedagogues, researchers, psychologists and the public.
International as well as Swedish experts from different disciplines are invited to assure that the latest scientific developments are addressed.
The first symposium was held in May 2013 and the symposium for 2016 is currently under the planning stages.
